Welcome to SnapFlow. Your privacy is of paramount importance to us. This Privacy Policy details how we handle user information, permissions, and data security when you use the SnapFlow Chrome Extension and its associated cloud dashboard.
1. Information We Collect and Process
SnapFlow is designed around a "Client-Side First" philosophy. Most operations, including screen capture rendering, image annotations, and canvas edits, are processed locally in your browser's memory and are never sent to our servers.
- Local Screen Captures: Screen captures are temporarily cached in your browser's local sandbox environment. We do not store or host your screenshots on our servers.
- AI Analysis Features (OCR & Code Generation): When you request AI OCR or Tailwind CSS conversion, only the selected region's image data is securely transmitted via HTTPS to Google Gemini AI API endpoints (via Supabase Edge Functions) for real-time processing. This data is not stored or saved by SnapFlow.
- Google Drive Integration: If you connect Google Drive, files are uploaded directly from your browser to your personal Google Drive account using Google OAuth tokens. We do not inspect, collect, or store your Google Drive files or credentials.
2. Account and Subscription Data
To manage your Pro Workspace membership status, we use secure third-party services:
- Authentication & Profile Management: Handled securely by Supabase. Your email address and UID are stored securely in Supabase Database.
- Billing & Subscriptions: Handled securely by Polar.sh. We do not store or process credit card numbers or banking information.
3. Permissions Required
To function correctly, the SnapFlow Chrome Extension requests the following browser permissions:
- activeTab: Used to take screenshots of the active browser tab when you click the capture button.
- storage: Used to store extension settings and cache your local capture history.
- identity: Used to manage secure Google OAuth authentication for direct Google Drive backups.
